Oppidum Prototype

Motion concepts are something I've toyed around with for a couple years now, though until now I've never taken one so far that Photoshop couldn't handle it properly. I've spent the last week or so learning AfterEffects and though I doubt I'll ever excel with animation, I've really enjoyed myself and have learned and grown a great deal. It's proven to be a great way to explore, plan and prototype game designs as well as otherwise force me to think differently about illustrating and image making in general.

Please have a look below, and make sure you select HD ~!

Here's where it all started:

In other news, I've finally launched a proper website:

Each print is a limited edition Giclee of only 50, 13"x19" with border. Hand-signed and numbered on Hahnemuhle German Etching 310GSM paper. These prints are artist proofed, color corrected and printed on an Epson Pro 3880 with Epson UltraChrome K3 inks. Treat them right and they will outlive you.

The two below were a struggle, the one above was a joy.
Funny how that works.

More visual brainstorming for a personal project.

Thrown to the Wind

A rejected cover illustration, wish it had ended better but, I don't know ... I still like it.

I've also compiled a raw format of the PSD to Refuge, So if anyone is curious to see the process it has every step used in the final product. Click!
