A collection of  unfinished sketches I'll most likely never finish, but still value.
Odds and ends, rough edges and recycling abound -

The King's Lance

Was happy to be contacted to help the folks behind The King's Lance pitch their dream project, now on Kickstarter. Sometimes concept art takes years to give energy back, so it's also been nice to have work to share so soon after completion and to be able to help with promotion.

The game seems fun, and I'm all for more depth in iOS entertainment. Have a look,

PSD Visual Walkthrough: Oppidum Nocturne

Had a few requests to share some process .PSDs, I hope it can be of use:

Done my best to clean this one up, reduce file size, but keep as much relevant information intact as possible. What isn't shown is the large amount of time spent revising, revisiting and otherwise experimenting.

More progress to share on the Oppidum Prototype soon !

Republique

Was happy to help Camoflaj with some pitch work imagery
for their Kickstarter project that was launched today: Click !

If you're a fan of Stealth Games, Small Studios, iOS games, Awesome things:
Their game Republique looks to have great potential, I can't wait to see more !

This was a last minute, one day job, unlike anything I had done before and I have to say it was nice to dip into new territory. It's rough around the edges, and I'd probably done things a bit differently if I had had more time; but it's always interesting and enriching to see the results of a limited palette.

Smart Objects made the work mostly worry free and allowed me the ability to design in perspective on the fly using a handful of free-to-use textures and a first for me, a fair amount of my own photographic reference.

Don't miss the updates on my sketchblog !

Halo 4 Wraparound

A concept of mine from my time with Microsoft's 343 Industries was just released on Halo Waypoint, and though it's a relatively simple painting I'm proud of what it accomplished and what I learned from it.

The image was an experiment with Photoshop CS5 Extended's 3D capabilities and is actually composed of a dozen or so instances of an unrelated, re-purposed 3D asset created for the game by Senior Environment Artist Chris Lewis. The details are a compilation of Custom Shapes created for the project by the Art Director Kenneth Scott.

See the Halo Waypoint blog post here: Click !

It's been exciting to see more and more released about the game, really can't wait to play it ! Good luck guys, miss ya !
